Laura Scott has led Dance Camp since the 1990s. Her bio and videos of her dancing can be found on the home page. She loves to inspire kids with a passion for movement and basic principles of alignment and dance dynamics while building a fun and engaged community.

Anna Brown Massey is a teacher, choreographer, and performer. She studied Scottish Highland and Cape Breton Stepdance with Laura Scott beginning in 1991, and spent summer intensives at Dance Camp and the Gaelic College. She performed extensively with Laura’s Highland Soles and for over 25 contemporary dance companies in New York City. She integrates Highland and Stepdance’s fierce expression and complex percussion into contemporary storytelling. She co-founded NACHMO (National Choreography Month) in 2009, which supports hundreds of new dance artists every year. Anna teaches dance at San Diego State University, and also teaches 3rd to 12th graders. She served as Director of Dance for 6th-12th grades at Bishop’s School.

Neil Pearlman learned dance from his mother, Laura Scott, and began his Cape Breton stepdancing career at the age of 12 on a tour with legendary fiddler Natalie MacMaster. Neil teaches and performs stepdance, in addition to his solo piano tours, duos with Shetland fiddler Kevin Henderson, fiddler Katie McNally, and his father Ed Pearlman, as well as explorations of Scottish and other styles of music in his band The Wallbreakers.  His podcast and record label TradCafe is exciting and informative.
